MiTek South Africa has been supporting the New Jerusalem Children’s Home for more than 10 years. The New Jerusalem Children’s Home is a non-profit organization, presently accommodating 87 children from 0 to 18 years of age.
In 2016, Tom Manenti MII CEO (USA) and Terry McGrath MII CFO (USA) visited the home whilst the new boys residential was being built, and they decided o donate all the MiTek manufactured roof components required for the roof structure. The delivery of the roof structure was one of the biggest achievements for the home and MiTek’s contribution toward the roof trusses ensured that the home could meet their long overdue completion of the boys residential unit to have the boys well sheltered.
MiTek licensed fabricator, Chamberlain was also involved in the project and they manufactured and delivered the trusses to the NJCH.
The project was also featured in the Midrand Reporter, which is Midrand’s local newspaper.
